Set it up

Insert it between any two nodes and wire its Output outlet onward — downstream nodes keep working exactly as they did. There is nothing to configure; the tree renders live as the flow runs.

Example: look at a nested payload

Input hands the flow a JSON order. JSON Viewer draws it as a tree you can expand down to the line items. Log records what passed through.

Three nodes: nested JSON in, the tree on the canvas, the record kept.

Paste this into the Flow Builder to get the same flow:

Take JSON from an Input trigger, show it in a JSON Viewer, and log it.

Good to know

A string that holds JSON is parsed for display. An API response that arrived as text is shown as the structure it describes, nested as deep as it goes — so you can see what is in there before deciding how to reach it.

The tree is a view, not a transform. Downstream nodes receive the payload exactly as it arrived, JSON-as-string included.
