At a glance
- Does
- Waits, then passes the payload through untouched
- Adds
- Nothing — every upstream key still resolves
Set it up
Drop it between two nodes and give it a number of seconds. The node counts down on the canvas while it waits.

Configure
| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Delay (seconds) | 1 | How long to wait. Fractions work — 0.5 is half a second. |
Output
Nothing is added. What arrived is what leaves.
Example: space out API calls
A run posts to an API, waits two seconds, then says it is done — enough of a gap that a rate limit never trips.

Paste this into the Flow Builder to get the same flow:
POST to https://api.example.com/items, wait two seconds, then notify me that it went through.
Good to know
Only this branch waits. Other flows keep running, and so does any branch of this flow that did not come through the Delay.
